Opened in December, 1999, the Salt Lake County Ice Center is a year-round, indoor ice skating facility located in the heart of Murray just south of Murray Park.  It was the second ZAP (Zoo, Arts and Parks tax) funded recreation facility to open in Salt Lake County.

The Ice Center is also home to the Salt Lake County Sports Offices.

Amenities at the Ice Center include:

1) An Olympic sized ice surface (200' x 100')

2) Seating for 500 spectators

3) A large lobby area

4) Skate rental area

5) Food concessions area

6) Party room

7) Pro shop, with skate sharpening available

8) Dressing room facilities

The County Ice Center was also utilized as a practice venue during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND:

The Ice Center will be CLOSED on Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1, in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.  There will be NO activities in the facility those days.  _______________________________________________

  2014-15 SLCo Youth Hockey Registrations

Registrations for the 2014-15 season of Salt Lake County Youth Hockey begin Saturday, August 9.

Used Skate and Equipment Exchange  

The 17th Annual Used Skate and Equipment Exchange will take place at the Ice Center on Saturday, September 6.  This is a great opportunity to sell or purchase good quality used equipment items.  Please contact Joe Bernardy at 385-468-1655 or jbernardy@slco.org for more information about this event.

  Annual Ice Fest Celebration

Also on Saturday, September 6 from 10am-4pm is our 15th Annual Ice Fest Celebration!  This is an annual event to kick of the fall skating season! 

Activities include FREE Learn-to-Skate and Learn-to-Play Hockey clinics (10am-2pm), FREE hot dogs, chips and drinks (12-2pm), and FREE Public Skating (2-4pm).  It's a day of GREAT FUN for the whole family!
