Opened in December, 1999, the Salt Lake County Ice Center is a year-round, indoor ice skating facility located in the heart of Murray just south of Murray Park.  It was the second ZAP (Zoo, Arts and Parks tax) funded recreation facility to open in Salt Lake County.

The Ice Center is also home to the Salt Lake County Sports Offices.

Amenities at the Ice Center include:

1) An Olympic sized ice surface (200' x 100')

2) Seating for 500 spectators

3) A large lobby area

4) Skate rental area

5) Food concessions area

6) Party room

7) Pro shop, with skate sharpening available

8) Dressing room facilities

The County Ice Center was also utilized as a practice venue during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.




The Ice Center will holding a Summer Power Skating program beginning Sunday, May 31.  The program runs for 5 weeks, classes will take place on Sunday late mornings.  The cost for the program is $50.00.  This is intended for players with at least one season of league experience.

Summer Power Skating



The Summer 3 on 3 Youth Hockey Program begins Tuesday, June 2.  This program is intended for players with at least 1 season of league experience.  Mites & Squirts skate on Thursday nights, Pee Wees and Bantams skate on Tuesday nights.  CLICK HERE to view the program flyer.

  Adult Learn-to-Play Hockey

The Intermediate Level Adult Learn-to-Play Hockey clinic begins Wednesday, June 3.  This is a six week program, and is a great opportunity for individuals high school age and older to get involved in the great game of hockey.  CLICK HERE to view the program flyer.
